This 12-1/4" x 5" electric trailer brake assembly is designed for 12,000 lb heavy duty trailer axles, delivering strong and reliable braking performance for large trailers and commercial hauling applications. Built with durable components and a heavy duty backing plate, this brake assembly provides consistent stopping power and long service life under demanding towing conditions.
The assembly comes fully pre-assembled with brake shoes, springs, and magnet mounted to the backing plate, making installation fast and straightforward. The 5-inch wide brake shoes provide a larger friction surface area, helping improve braking efficiency and heat dissipation when carrying heavier loads.
Featuring a self-adjusting electric bake system, the brakes automatically maintain proper shoe-to-drum clearance during operation, reducing the need for manual adjustments and ensuring optimal braking performance with minimal maintenance.
This brake assembly mounts to a standard 7-bolt brake flange and is commonly used on flatbed trailers, equipment trailers, and tandem axle trailers equipped with 16" to 17.5" wheels.
