PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Replace a damaged or worn trailer emergency brake switch with the Jammy J-ELEC Trailer Breakaway Switch. Designed for trailers equipped with electric brake breakaway systems, this switch activates the trailer brakes when the pull cable removes the plunger from the switch during an accidental trailer separation.
The J-ELEC includes a 48" coated steel pull cable, 45" wiring leads, and a zinc steel mounting plate for installation on the trailer frame. One switch lead connects to the breakaway power source, while the other connects to the trailer brake circuit, providing the electrical connection required for the breakaway braking system.
A single-screw mounting design provides straightforward installation and allows the switch to be positioned near the front of the trailer where the pull cable can connect to the tow vehicle. The J-ELEC can be used as a replacement breakaway switch or as a component in a new trailer electric brake breakaway system.
