Product Overview:
Replace or service your 6,000 lb trailer axle hub and drum assembly with the Dexter K08-201-2G 6K Pre-Greased Hub & Drum Kit. Designed for 6K trailer axle applications using a #42 spindle, this complete assembly features a 6 on 5.5" wheel bolt pattern, 1/2"-20 wheel studs, and a 12" x 2" brake drum configuration. The hub uses Dexter part number 008-201-09 and comes pre-greased with the bearings supplied as part of the complete replacement kit.
The assembly uses a 25580 inner bearing and 15123 outer bearing, matched with a 25520 inner race and 15245 outer race. The bearing races are pressed into the hub and drum, while the included 2.250" grease seal (010-036-00) has a 3.376" outside diameter to help retain lubricant and protect the bearing area from outside contamination.
The K08-201-2G also includes six 1/2"-20 60-degree cone nuts, standard and E-Z Lube® grease caps, a rubber plug, and spindle retention hardware including a retainer nut, hex nut, slotted nut, D-washer, washer, and cotter pin. The pre-greased configuration reduces the bearing preparation required during hub and drum replacement while providing the components needed for compatible Dexter 6K applications.
