Product Overview:
Replace or service your 3,500 lb trailer axle hub and drum assembly with the Dexter K08-247-1G 3.5K Pre-Greased Hub & Drum Kit. Designed for compatible 3.5K trailer axles using a #84 spindle, this complete assembly features a 5 on 4.5" wheel bolt pattern, 1/2"-20 wheel studs, and a 10" x 2-1/4" brake configuration. The hub and drum component is Dexter 008-247-05, rated at 1,750 lbs per hub.
The assembly uses an L68149 inner bearing and L44649 outer bearing, matched with pre-installed L68111 inner and L44610 outer races. The bearings and 010-019-00 double-lip grease seal come installed and pre-greased with Dexter grease, reducing the preparation and manual bearing-packing required during replacement. The seal measures 1.719" ID x 2.565" OD.
The K08-247-1G includes both standard and E-Z Lube® grease caps, an E-Z Lube® rubber plug, five 60-degree cone wheel nuts, and spindle retention hardware including a slotted nut, retainer nut, hex nut, D-washer, washer, and cotter pin. Dexter also includes an instruction sheet with the retail-packaged kit.
