Product Overview:
Replace or service your 3,500 lb trailer axle hub and drum assembly with the Dexter K08-249-1G 3.5K Pre-Greased Hub & Drum Kit. Designed for 3.5K trailer axle applications, this complete assembly features a 5 on 5" wheel bolt pattern, 1/2"-20 wheel studs, and a 1.718" grease seal. Dexter supplies the kit pre-greased with the bearings included, reducing bearing preparation and installation time during hub and drum replacement.
The assembly uses an L68149 inner bearing and L44649 outer bearing, matched with the appropriate bearing races for standard Dexter 3.5K hub and drum applications. The included 010-019-00 grease seal has a nominal 1.72" seal size and is used with the #84 spindle configuration. Dexter 3.5K brake applications use a 10" x 2-1/4" brake assembly.
The K08-249-1G also includes both a standard grease cap and an E-Z Lube® grease cap, an E-Z Lube rubber plug, five 60-degree cone wheel nuts, and spindle retention hardware including a retainer nut, hex nut, slotted nut, D-washer, washer, and cotter pin. An instruction sheet is also included in Dexter's official kit contents.
