Replace a worn electric brake magnet with the Dexter K71-125-00 Trailer Brake Magnet Kit. Designed for compatible Dexter electric trailer brakes, this kit fits 12" x 2" 7,000 lb brake applications and 10" x 2-1/4" 4,400 lb brake applications, providing the magnet and retaining hardware needed for brake magnet service without replacing the complete brake assembly.
The kit includes the 042-143-00 magnet assembly with black wire, 046-080-00 magnet spring, and 027-009-00 retaining clip. These components are supplied together as the Dexter K71-125-00 replacement magnet kit for compatible electric trailer brake assemblies.
Replacing the magnet components can be useful when the brake shoes, backing plate, adjuster, and other brake hardware remain serviceable. Before ordering, verify your brake size and application to confirm compatibility with either the 12" x 2" 7K or 10" x 2-1/4" 4.4K Dexter electric brake configuration.
