Product Overview:
Replace worn, damaged, or missing hub caps with the Dexter K71-317-00 E-Z Lube® Grease Cap & Rubber Plug Kit. Designed for compatible Dexter 12" x 2" trailer hub assemblies with 5- and 6-bolt configurations, this kit includes two 2.45" OD chrome grease caps and two matching rubber plugs for servicing both hubs on one trailer axle.
The E-Z Lube® design provides convenient access to the spindle grease fitting through the removable rubber plug, allowing routine bearing lubrication without removing the complete grease cap. The drive-in grease cap fits securely into the compatible hub bore while helping retain grease and protect the wheel bearing area from dirt, moisture, and road debris during normal trailer use.
Each kit includes two Dexter 021-042-01 grease caps and two 085-001-00 rubber plugs. The 2.45" cap size is commonly used on compatible Dexter trailer hub applications in the 4.4K–6K axle range. Because hub and cap configurations can vary within the same axle capacity, verify the 2.45" cap outside diameter and hub configuration before ordering.
