PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Equip your electric-brake trailer with the Jammy J-BWEK-V2 LED Trailer Breakaway Kit, a complete top-load breakaway system designed to provide emergency brake activation if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle. The kit includes a 12V/5A battery, built-in charging circuit, LED charge indicators with a test button, and a J-ELEC breakaway switch in a heavy-duty plastic battery box.
The battery box features a top-loading lid secured with fasteners and can also serve as a junction box, with wiring routed through the bottom/right side. Internal potted circuitry incorporates the charging circuit, while a ring terminal is provided on the ground wire for electrical installation.
For installation, the rear mounting flange provides up to six mounting holes spaced 1.25" apart on 5-7/8" centers and is intended for use with sheet-metal or self-drilling screws. The included J-ELEC switch provides the mechanical breakaway activation component required to apply the trailer brakes when its pull plunger is removed during trailer separation.
